Plus 38 Degree Celsius Wedding Day

On the day of this wedding there was not enough water in the world for how hot it was out… and in typical Ryan fashion I forgot to sunscreen. More on this later though, as I am getting ahead of myself.

The day started nice and early with a wonderful drive out East of the Hanna, Alberta area. When I arrived, I got to spend the morning capturing the bride getting ready and hanging out with all the ladies. I am starting to learn that no matter which mother of the bride is popping the champagne bottle, they always have the funniest scared faces when that cork pops. LOL

I worked on getting some shots of the groom and the groomsmen before the ceremony and my goodness they were funny! From the swagger they had, I knew it was going to be a day of great memories and big laughs.

The ceremony venue was great! It was a large barn on a working ranch where they had converted the barn loft into a dance floor. This hit home for me because growing up my Grandma had her barn set up exactly like this for all the family parties. It was so perfect with some amazing country vibes going on. There is definitely something to be said for a rural Alberta barn wedding!
When the ceremony was about to start I made my way up into the barn loft where everyone was waiting and OH LORD was it HOT! Like I mean it was hotter then a half f#$ked fox in a forest fire kind of hot! By the time the ceremony was done I was sweating from places I didn’t know I could sweat from and by the end of the day I had just stopped sweating altogether. My forehead glowed cherry read for two weeks… ouch.

By the time we got to take the wedding party and couple photos it was so hot. I’m talking plus 35 degrees Celsius in the SHADE! The bride and groom were champs though. We shot for over two hours and were able to capture some amazing photos.

My favourite part of the day was the dance. It was the icing on the cake for sure! Good gravy this wedding party sure knew how to cut loose, like straight up footloose!

I hope you all enjoy some of my favourite photos of the day!
