Intimate Backyard Wedding

Where Does the Time Go? A Beautiful Summer Wedding in Hanna

Wow, where has the time gone? Life with our newest "little little" has been such an adjustment, but it’s been a joy to watch our “big little” and “middle little” step into their roles as rock star big brothers. They’ve been amazing! While life has been busy (and wonderful), I’ve been working hard to catch up on all of this season’s stunning weddings to share with you on the blog.

Today, I’m excited to finally share a beautiful wedding from back in July that still makes me smile every time I think about it. C and D’s celebration in the charming town of Hanna was nothing short of magical. And yes, it’s that Hanna—home of Nickelback!

A Backyard Ceremony Full of Love

The day began with an intimate ceremony in the bride’s parents’ backyard. There’s something so special about celebrating love in a place that already holds so many family memories. The garden wedding vibe was a dream, surrounded by lush greenery and the unmistakable warmth of a tight-knit gathering.

A Vision in Blue

From the florals to the decor, the couple’s choice of blue tones flowed beautifully throughout the day. It added a serene and timeless touch to every moment, perfectly complementing the garden setting.

Discovering Hanna’s Hidden Gems

Small towns like Hanna often surprise you with their hidden photo-worthy spots, and this day was no exception. From picturesque backdrops to charming details, the town provided a perfect canvas for capturing those candid, love-filled moments.

A Reception to Remember

The celebration continued at the local Legion Hall, a venue that had so much character. Its stunning old hardwood floors added an extra layer of charm, creaking and popping underfoot as guests danced the night away.

A Feast to Delight

Let’s talk about the food—because it deserves a moment of its own! The dinner was a build-your-own taco bar, which was both fun and delicious. It was amazing to see how creative people got with their taco toppings! And if that wasn’t enough, the bride and groom treated everyone to ice cream from Foothills Creamery, featuring their favorite flavors. It was such a sweet way to end the meal and keep the summer vibes alive.

Wrapping Up a Beautiful Day

C and D’s wedding was everything you’d hope for in a small-town celebration—heartfelt, intimate, and bursting with personality. From the meaningful details to the love that filled the air, it was a day I’ll never forget.

I feel so lucky to have been part of their story and to capture these moments for them. If you’re planning a wedding in a charming small town or dreaming of a backyard ceremony, C and D’s day is proof that these settings can create the most incredible memories.

Stay tuned for more wedding stories from this season—it’s been a truly magical one!
