At the End of a Rainbow: Capturing a 10-Year Vow Renewal

Vows are one of those rare moments during a wedding day when time feels like it slows down. This summer, I had the privilege of capturing such a moment: Q and T’s 10-year vow renewal. It was an honour to document their love story as it came full circle, blending cherished memories with new chapters.

Q and T wanted their special day to echo their wedding a decade ago, with one heartfelt addition—their incredible “littles.” Together, as a family, they celebrated not only their journey but the love that had grown over the years.

The venue held its own magic. The bride’s family farm, homesteaded over a century ago, was a picturesque setting steeped in history and love. Mature trees framed the property, and the perfectly manicured yard whispered stories of time. The ceremony unfolded before the backdrop of an old red barn, its weathered boards lending a rustic charm that was nothing short of poetic.

The ceremony was an intimate affair, shared only with family. This simplicity magnified the love and authenticity of the moment. As Q and T exchanged vows once again, their words carried the weight of ten years of growth, challenges, and shared dreams.

One of the most special parts of the day was recreating photos from their wedding a decade ago. This time, however, the images included their children, adding an enchanting layer of childhood wonder to each frame. It was pure joy to see their love reflected not just in each other but in the curious eyes and playful smiles of their “littles.”

Being part of this day felt like standing at the end of a rainbow—surrounded by beauty, history, and the promise of more love to come. Moments like these remind me why I adore what I do. It’s an honour to witness and preserve the magic of lives lived fully and love that grows ever brighter with time.
