Drumheller, AB- Badlands Engagement Session

This stunning engagement session took place this past summer in the very early morning hours and it turned out so amazing! A & D wanted to have their engagement session in the morning in order to beat the Drumheller heat and to be able to utilize that beautiful morning light! As the first rays of the morning sun painted the sky in hues of pink and gold, we found ourselves amidst the breathtaking beauty of Alberta’s Badlands - a surreal backdrop to capture any love story.
I was a little nervous at the beginning of the session, as the light was looking flat with very little pop to it, but as the sun continued to come up, wow did it POP! We had the location completely to ourselves, allowing us time to set up some creative and romantic shots.

The golden hour bathed the couple in a warm glow, highlighting the rugged beauty of the Badlands while casting a romantic ambience over the entire scene. It was a photographer’s dream to work with such an amazing couple and location. The camera shutters sure got a work out during this session. These are just some of my favourites. I can’t wait for their wedding this summer.
